What are the dangers of myspace?
I’ll tell you. There is no myspace danger!
The danger on the internet has nothing particular to do with myspace.com. With all the recent reports in the media about myspace danger and the bad things that could happen to your child, some people have inflated the dangers, or misrepresented them. This is a danger in itself. You should know what the real dangers are, not the media’s opinion.
The internet has introduced no new dangers to society, however, it has made a predators job much easier. No longer is it required to leave one’s house, and be seen by others, to do your stalking. Stalking can be done right from the computer screen the in privacy of your own home.
The net is full of strangers, some of them dangerious, some of them nice, some of them apathetic. When you, or a loved one, are talking on myspace please remember that you have no idea who you are talking to. When you give out personal information, you are not giving it out only to your friends, but also anyone who would ever like to search for such information to satisfy their evil desires.
Myspace is a media, just like the telephone, or television. There is nothing evil or dangerious about myspace, only how you use it. Be safe, don’t give out personal information.
